On Sunday 7th February, during the Tecno Bar & Food Exhibition, was held the “Beach Long Drink Cocktail Competition” promoted by The John Whyte Club. The bartenders were from 4 different Country: Brazil, Korea, Serbia and Italy. Just a selection of the best recipes among the others forwarded from all over the world.

ARTICLE 1

The John Whyte Club  was originally founded in 1988 by the then IBA secretary, Oscar Cavallera, under the chairmanship of Umberto Caselli.

The 3rd December 2002 at the Head office of AIBES, in Via Baldissera, 2 Milan, the club, was thereby refunded by Mr. Andrea Bianco, Ms. Sandra Haruko Civieri, Ms. Ursula Chioma, Mr. Andrea Balleri and, with the supervision of the then IBA and AIBES ' President Mr. Umberto Caselli, under the name of JOHN WHYTE CLUB.

Is governed by the present articles of the IBA.

The JWC is a non-profit club and will not deal with- nor discriminate in matters of politic, race or creed.

The JWC is compiled of Bartenders from all Continents and whose officers shall be active members of their National Guilds.

ARTICLE 2

All members of the IBA who have participated as students at the IBA Training Center may be enrolled as members of the JWC.

All the members must be actively engaged in the F&B Department.

All the JWC Members have to be enrolled in one of the IBA 's Guild. This is a must to get into the JWC.

Art. 2.1

Membership of JWCA

Qualifications and Classifications:

    a. JWC Members
    b. Gold Members (over 40 yrs. Old)
    c. JWC Honorary Members

Art. 2.2

The Official Language of the JWC is English.

ARTICLE 3

The aims of the JWC are:

    1. to continue the educational work of the Training Center
    2. to place its members actively in the ranks of the IBA
    3. to work as Educational Research Study Center of the beverage world.

ARTICLE 4

To facilitate the attainment of the aims, the Club may:

    1. Study, research and collect information about the development of the history and the evolution of the beverage world;
    2. Furnish assistance to its members, also through the various national associations;
    3. Organize educational meeting for the purpose of developing professional and cultural knowledge;
    4. Promote the participation of members in the IBA meeting;
    5. Organize contests and competitions;
    6. Contact any supporter in respecting the IBA philosophy.

ARTICLE 5

The JWC is governed by a committee composed of:

    1. The Managing Director of JWC;
    2. The Secretary of JWC;
    3. 2 members of the Club as committee members (Foreigner 's International Relationship Far East, North America and Australia, and Foreigner 's International Relationship Europe, South America and Africa);
    4. The President of the IBA as Honorary Chairman;
    5. The Honorary President is Mr. Umberto Caselli;
    6. The Honorary Members are: Mr.Derrik Lee, Mr. Bjorn Olsson, Mr. Oscar Cavallera, and Mr. David Chan.

The selection of the 8-committee members shall take place by correspondence among the Academy Members of the JWC and they shall hold office for a period of three years.

The committee may not include more than 2 members aged over 40.

In case of equal voting, the IBA President 's vote shall be final.

The committee shall meet not less than once a year.

Art. 5.1

The international committee will meet once a year; the meeting shall be attended by at least 50% of the members. The expenses incurred for the annual meeting shall be financed, if possible, through the JWC 's fund or paid for by the individuals concerned.

ARTICLE 6

The Committee shall delegate one JWC member of each IBA guild and then confer upon the duties of correspondent.

ARTICLE 7

Membership of the JWC shall lapse on the fortieth birthday of all members and turn as a Gold Member.

ARTICLE 8

The funds required to manage the JWC shall be provided only through sponsorships, donations and any fees for attending events.

ARTICLE 9

Should any question or dispute arise which is not covered in these Rules & Regulations, or should any question of the interpretation of these R & R occur, the majority decision of the Committee will be final.

BY LAW

The Committee of the JWC shall be responsible to promote funds required for the activities of the Club.
